WarmteStad and KWR research institute are jointly developing a digital twin; a 'digital twin' of the heat plant in Groningen. “We are building a computer simulation with which we can use sustainable sources such as residual heat, solar heat and seasonal storage more intelligently, and thus make our heat even more sustainable,” says Theo Venema, business developer of WarmteStad. WarmteStad is currently also building a new, definitive heat plant on Campus Groningen.
