With three weeks to go, the Meet Your Future in Energy event has reached registrations from 220 participants and wonderful companies such as DNV-GL, TenneT, Gasunie and Alliander. On Tuesday 24 November (3 - 5.30 pm) companies, students and jobseekers focused on the theme of energy will come together in a digital environment to meet during an online information market, to share vacancies, interactive masterclasses will take place, and there will be the opportunity to get in touch with companies and students/jobseekers 1-on-1. The spoken language during the event is English. Meet Your Future in Energy is an initiative from Energy Academy (part of New Energy Coalition), Campus Groningen, Gemeente Groningen and Make it in the North.

We cannot maintain this role without the right students and professionals to work in this industry. That is why I applause for events like this, ”said Paul de Rook, Alderman for Economic Affairs, Municipality of Groningen.
Linda Flanderijn, Projectmanager New Energy Coalition explains the event further: “the New Energy Coalition brings together knowledge, research, technology and entrepreneurship. We want to be a catalyst for a smart energy transition. With this event we hope to create a great opportunity to bring talent and business into contact with each other, in order to jointly strengthen the enormous transformation of the energy transition.”
Diverse program
In addition to companies and start-ups in the energy sector, other interesting parties have also registered for a place in the digital career event. Attendees can, for example, attend a webinar from the Top Dutch Solar Racing team located on Campus Groningen, get an insight into the plans for the hydrogen train or broaden their network during the speed dates. Registration
Registration for companies and visitors of the event can be done via www.meetyourfuture.online.. The organization advises companies to register before November 17. The app of this event will go online on 17 November and the participants can then see which companies are present.
About Meet Your Future in Energy
The planned digital career event offers the same opportunities as a physical event: workshops, 1-on-1 meetings, tour of the digital booths, leaving CVs and interesting network conversations. The digital platform offers plenty of opportunities for (inter) national talent and companies to come into contact with each other. The event is open to talent at MBO, HBO and WO level and for professionals within and outside the region. Continuing to sustainably connect and attract talent and businesses in the Northern Netherlands is an initiative and collaboration of the Municipality of Groningen, Make it in the North, Campus Groningen and Energy Academy (part of New Energy Coalition).
