We have given our building map and building planning an update. On this building map you can see what the Campus will look like in a couple of years. A lot is being build and renewed at this moment on Campus Groningen, both on the Zernike Campus and on the Healthy Ageing Campus. This way, the Campus will be even more suitable for innovation and collaboration between knowledge institutions and companies.
New possibilities and facilities
The building projects not only produce new buildings, but also an array of new possibilities and facilities for the campus community. An example of this is the new Innovation Center Chemistry & Engineering on Zernike Campus. The innovation center offers room for several innovative and research-oriented companies: Symeres, Cliq Swiss, DEMCON and Ducom. It also offers a space for startups and R&D by the presence of two open innovation labs on the premises: Innolab Chemistry and Innolab Engineering. The companies do research in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and in the field of engineering. Each company gets its own laboratory and research center in the new innovation center.
On the Healthy Ageing Campus the North Entrance is fully redesigned. The University of Groningen and the UMCG change this area into a lively, welcoming place for education, research, culture, sports and recreation.
Building planning
Besides the building map, we have also updated the building planning. On this overview you can find the planning of the largest building projects on both locations of Campus Groningen. Both map and planning can be downloaded here.
