Wow! The students of amongst others the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Noorderpoort, the Friesland College and the University of Groningen who make up the Top Dutch Solar Racing Team, have finished in 4th place today in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia. Their solar car even had a track record along the way. A great reward for two years of hard work!
Het Top Dutch Solar Racing Team
The TopDutch Solar Racing is a group of enthusiastic students from different educational levels and disciplines. Together with our partners they build a solar car with which they have competed in this year's Bridgestone World Solar Challenge for the first time!
The solar car has been built in less than two years. During those years the teams engineers have been doing the research, designing, prototyping, testing and optimizing, with the support of their helpful partners. With a super efficient electromotor, high-tech solar array with innovative coating, a battery box that they designed ourselves and a feather light carbon body they have taken on the solar challenge in Australia.
