The world of construction faces major changes the upcoming years: after other industrial sectors, a digital revolution is on the horizon here. This brings new ways of designing, producing and using with it. The Northern Netherlands want to take the lead in this. That is why alderman Paul de Rook of the municipality of Groningen opened Digilab (built circular) at the innovation center BuildinG on Campus Groningen, location Zernike Campus on Friday 24 January. Education, research and SME's are to profit of this new Digilab.
Collaboration
BuildinG - the innovation platform for future-proof building and infra – has together with the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, the Economic Board Groningen, Bouwend Nederland, TNO, EPI-kenniscentrum and local business life taken the initiative to develop facilities for local SME's to give them access to new digital possibilities of the building trade. First step is teh opening of the Digilab in the hall of BuildinG. The minor Built Digital takes place here, developed by specialists of the Hanze University, the TU Delft and the Alfa-college. A unique program that allows students to get to know digital building.
