A number of industrial companies want to build a facility on Zernike Campus where they can experiment with hydrogen techniques. The testing facility has to push on the northern hydrogen ambitions. The initiative for the testing grounds comes from AkzoNobel, Gasunie, a large synthetic manufacturer and a number of other companies. They benefit from a more efficient way of producing hydrogen, because it then gets cheaper. At Zernike Campus they want to see how to accomplish this. The Hanze University of Applied Sciences is also a driving force behind the project.
