The startup IVWear from Groningen competes together with prof. Bart Verkerke of the UMCG for the Medical Inspirator Award of ZonMw. This spring, the project IVWear, the generation of a wearable IV, chosen out of more than 80 contestants as a finalist for this award. The prize in this contest is €75.000,- for the winning project. 

Law student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen Melcher Frankema is one of the three entrepreneurs of IVWear: 'It is our dream to free patients worldwide of the IV post, to which they are attached, so that they can move freely through the hospital and feel less like a patient.'
