RIG grant raised by 12 ml for Zernike Campus and Eemsdelta per 1 February 2019

Great news for the business development on Campus Groningen: starting 1 February 2019, new and existing companies on Zernike Campus and in the Eemsdelta region can apply for a grant of the RIG grant (Regional Investemnt grant Groningen). The succesfull program continues with money from the Nationaal Programma Groningen. The budget of the RIG grant will be raised with 12 milion euro's. In four years time the RIG has delivered 300 direct and 450 indirect jobs. Companies invested because of the grant €138 milion in total.

Objectives

The objectives of the RIG are to increase employment, strengthen the economic structure and innovation & greening of the industry. There is a huge interest in the grant. There have been made 57 applications in total.Especially SME's benefit from this program. Of the 18 grants that have been awarded, 16 went to SME's. On Zernike Campus, Syncom is one of these examples.

On January 15 the province of Groningen will organise a meeting on the new RIG2019.
