The search for Groningen’s top entrepreneur has officially begun! As of April 10, applications are open for the Groningen Entrepreneur Prize (GOP). Successful companies from the city and surrounding region can apply for this prestigious award until May 19.
Before the summer, the jury will select up to ten nominees. On Thursday, September 25, they will pitch their business in hopes of securing a place in the final. The grand finale will take place on the evening of Thursday, November 27, during a festive event at MartiniPlaza. The King’s Commissioner, René Paas, will present the coveted title to the winner. Campus Groningen is a proud sponsor of this event that celebrates and promotes entrepreneurship in the region.
What are the criteria for participation?
Mandatory criteria:

The company is based in the province of Groningen;

The company has at least 10 employees;

The company has been in operation for a minimum of 5 years.
The jury also considers:

The strength of the product-market combination(s);

Strategic vision;
-
Corporate social responsibility;

Marketing strategy;
-
Financial position;
-
HR and personnel policy.
