On the Zernike Campus applies an overall no-parking zone on the roads. At this moment many parkers are not abiding this ban. This is causing nuisance and dangerous traffic situations on the Zernike Campus. Therefore, the municipality of Groningen have indicated that there will be an active enforcement from week 48 onwards (starting Monday 26 November 2018), for example fining for parking on the roadside or on the road.
Avoid parking fines
At the access routes to the Zernike Campus signs indicate the Campus is a no parking zone. This is visible on the zone signs at the beginning of the Zernike Campus. This means that you are only allowed to park in the designated parking spaces. The municipality of has announced to enforce again from week 48 onwards at the Zernike Campus. This means that you get a parking ticket when you car is illegally parked outside the parking zones. Please do also warn your customers and visitors, for example at events.
P+R on the edge of town
Is the parking lot full, but do you still want to park your car somewhere? You can also park your car on a P+R. From P+R Reitdiep, P+R Haren and P+R Euroborg there is a bus directly to the Zernike Campus. From P+R Reitdiep you can also use a campusbike for free (www.campuscycle.nl). All P+R locations are visible in Google Maps.
Still in need of a parking space?
The parking lot around the buildings (P0 t/m P4) are fitted with barriers. Parking spaces where charges are applied are only available on P3 and P4. If you can not find a parking space, you can also park at P5 and P6 with free access. These are situated on the northern part of the Campus.
