Startups and existing companies will be able to use the Pilot Factory on Campus Groningen in the near future to make their idea into a succesful business. In the Pilot Factory on Zernike Campus, the Pezy Group helps to develop their product idea. This includes making several hundreds or thousands of vendible products, to test and show the market potential of the products.

On Wednesday June 20 2018, the proposition paper was presented by Henco Pezy, executive director and founder of the Pezy Group, and Edward van der Meer, managing director of Campus Groningen, to Paul van der Wijk, memeber of the Board of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences. On Friday June 22, the proposition paper was presented by Henco Pezy and Edward van der Meer to Jan de Jeu, member of the Board of the University of Groningen. Pezy Group itself was once a startup on Zernike Campus Groningen.

Shared facility

The Pilot Factory will be a place whre young talent, entrepreneurs, educational institutes and innovations come together. Campus Groningen and the Pezy Group want to encourage the collaborations between knowledge institutes and the business community and to support them in an enviroment whre co-creation emerges. In this respect, the Pilot Factory ties up well with the existing shared facilities in pharma, chemistry and bio technology on Campus Groningen, such as Innolab Chemie.

"The interaction between talent and business community is thriving at Campus Groningen. To seek this interaction is a logical step for Pezy Group."
