Healthy ageing is already one of the main themes of Campus Groningen, and now the city of Groningen has taken on the challenge to become the healthiest city. They want the first smoke-free generation to grow up.
Groningen should be the healthiest city of the Netherlands
Many institutions across the city all collaborate to make Groningen the first smoke-free city of the Netherlands. These institutions include the University of Groningen, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, UMCG, HANNN and others.
"We have to go to a situation where it is no longer natural for children to see adults smoke, then the chances of being addicted later are much smaller."
