The COVID19 Grant from SNN subsidy has rapidly become available to northern entrepreneurs and knowledge institutions for new research or innovative solutions that contribute to the current health crisis. Just as quickly, a live webinar was set up for interested entrepreneurs and scientists by the LIFE Cooperative, Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland (SNN) and Campus Groningen. A first for all parties to give a real-time webinar, but with success and positive reactions: almost 70 viewers simultaneously in the webinar, a lot of interaction in the Live Chat and also afterwards the number rises to 160 unique viewers.
This COVID-19 subsidy of total 1 million euros has been made available by the three northern provinces and SNN. Applications for the "COVID-19 grant" can be submitted from Friday April 10 to Thursday April 30, 5 p.m. During the Live Webinar, both substantive and financial questions from listeners were discussed. An important conclusion is that all relevant projects are welcome to submit a strongly substantiated, but short and concise plan (8 pages). Which shows in particular the impact on the health crisis, in addition to demonstrating the right competences and skills to achieve that impact.
Many applications expected
Many strong requests from innovative entrepreneurs and institutions from the region are expected, according to the number of participants and potential projects already identified. From pharmaceutical, diagnostic products to equipment, eHealth solutions and tools; all applications will have to be assessed on their context and on the level and term of impact. The review criteria are described in the Implementation Regulations COVID-19. Where the budget cannot provide a subsidy for good project applications, the VIA, MIT, Knowledge Development and / or Valorisation regulations may be sufficient. More information about other subsidies can be found on the SNN website.

Een primeur voor alle partijen en even wennen om een real-time webinar te geven, maar met succes en positieve reacties
