Energy Venture Lab, an entrepreneurial program by, among others, University of Groningen and Hanzehogeschool Groningen, is open until 22 September for applications for innovative entrepreneurs (or entrepreneurial innovators). Sustainable ideas or plans that meet the selection criteria are likely to take part in the € 25,000 business accelerator program. Participants get a expert coach and a day in the week in Groningen a tailor-made training to make the successful plan a success. Sign up can be done at www.energyventurelab.com.
Energytransition: from idea to success
One of the greatest challenges of this time: the energy transition to renewable energy. An important contribution to such a transition comes from innovations, new services and products. And not only from large research and development departments of multinationals and universities. On the contrary, important changes often come from the market.
Maurits Alberda, Project Manager of Energy Venture Lab: "New energy services, a technical innovation that improves the manufacturing process of a factory and saves CO2, or a Willie Root that thinks in its barn. It often starts small and local, and in principle is not aimed at a 'earnings model' but arises from a need. Only later it appears to be an international application. If such a new idea remains under the radar because the step to the market is too big or one can not attract the required capital, that would be a shame. "
On Thursday September 21 EAE’s business accelerator programme Energy Venture Lab hosts a public event on the theme of innovative entrepreneurship. Guest speakers are ‘the entrepreneurs from ENIE’, Milan and Patrick van der Meulen. The event includes an excellent opportunity for prospect participants in the EVL programme (new entries start October 4).
Campus Groningen: together we shape the energy transition
Together with knowledge institutes, researchers, government and companies, Campus Groningen is committed to the transition to renewable energy. The entrepreneurial program of Energy Venture Lab is a good example of this. What do you do to encourage the use of renewable energy? Watch the movie and get inspired.
