Energiehub050 Opens: Collaborating on Solutions for Energy Transition Challenges

On Wednesday, June 26, Energiehub050 was opened at the Suikerterrein in Groningen. Through intensive collaboration between education, government, and businesses, the hub aims to train and retrain professionals working in the installation of technical systems that enable the energy transition.

Alderman Carine Bloemhoff was present to open the hub. “Without these professionals, we cannot advance in the energy transition. The sustainable goals we have set together in Groningen can only be achieved if we have the professionals to carry out this important work.”

The opening concluded with the signing of the partnership between the Municipality of Groningen and Energiehub050. With this partnership, vocational education (MBO) is now represented in the energy transition network alongside Entrance and the New Energy Coalition.

“The Municipality of Groningen is pleased to join Energiehub050 as a partner to work together with education and businesses to ensure there are enough adequately trained professionals,” said Bloemhoff.

With the official opening, Energiehub050 is ready to provide training programs.
