Campus Community Fund realizes 60 million investments in the first six months

Thu, 11 March 2021

Since the launch of the Campus Community Fund (CCF) in September 2020, the financing platform has invested more than 60 million euros in the development of Campus Groningen. The investments have been made in real estate, such as the Innovation Center Chemistry & Engineering on Campus Groningen, in facilities such as Innolab Chemistry and Innolab Engineering, in promising startups such as Reperio, QDI Systems and SG Papertronics and in large projects such as Open Diagnostics, Fascinating and 3D Implants.

Rabobank Stad en Midden Groningen, NOM and Campus Groningen committed themselves to be the first implementation partners of the CCF during the launch of the financing platform. The CCF aims to have realized 500 million euros in investments by the end of 2025. By the end of 2021, the counter will have to reach 100 million euros and it will already be 60 million euros by the end of the first quarter of 2021. “A dynamic start, and in the meantime the following projects are already ready for financing,” says platform manager Ronald Hesse.

Open for business

Now that various companies with financing issues have found the CCF, the platform has really taken off. “The year 2021 will be dominated by the further design of the platform and the optimization of the implementation. The investments of the Campus Community Fund already realized are stimulating ambitious expectations. So contact us, because we are open for business! ”, says Ronald Hesse.
