The organisation Klimaatadaptatie Groningen organises up and until January 2021 in city and region Groningen inspiring activities, events and initiatives on the theme of climate adaptation. From Tuesday 19 until Monday 25 January 2021 they organise the Climate Adaptation Week Groningen: a free of charge, online, interactive, international festival filled to the brim with knowledge, inspiration and action on the theme of climate adaptation. 

Program

Over 70 (inter)national speakers from over 20 countries talk about the current and future status of climate adaptation. The events in this week offer a broad range of activities: from a Youth for Climate Adaptation Conference, the Climate Adaptation Summit 2021 to bike tours. On of the highlights of the Climate Adaptation Week is a Ceremony with Nobel Prize Laureates on Challenges and Solutions for Climate Change Adaptation, convened by Chair of the Board of the GCA and Eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations, H.E. Ban Ki Moon.
