Frontrunners Annelies Wolters and Natasja Topelen
Lode Holding has been involved with the Campus Trail from the very beginning. A special moment was their 75th anniversary in 2023, when the start and finish took place at Lode. Then-mayor Koen Schuiling gave the starting signal, captured in a cherished photo.
“Movement is in our DNA,” says CEO Annelies Wolters. “It’s a key part of our mission: helping people improve their performance. During the Trail, all participants run right through our production hall, with a DJ on the floor, a great example of how work joy and movement come together.”
“Some colleagues race for a top time, others cheer just for finishing. Both are equally awesome,” says Natasja Topelen, Manager Executive Support. “We lift each other up to keep moving, each in their own unique way.”
The location on Zernike Campus also makes participation natural. Annelies: “We’re one of the oldest residents and have strong ties with other organizations. The Campus Trail brings that together: the active spirit and a peek into each other’s world.”
Natasja adds: “For me, exercising means relaxation and strength. The Campus Trail inspired me to start running again. It’s not about winning, but about sharing the experience.”
