Frontrunner Monique Koller

"Regularly, I stroll across the campus to see firsthand what's going on. As a real estate and spatial advisor at the Hanze, Monique Koller is often in meetings but also frequently outdoors. 'With new developments like student housing Proxima, or places where we're working on mobility or livability, I want to feel: how does it really work here?'

Being active is part of her life. 'I used to run half marathons, but now I spread my activities wider,' says Monique. 'I play baseball, join the Campus Trail, work out at home with weights, walk a lot with our dog, and often cycle to work. It's also mentally relaxing.'

Monique is proud of what all partners achieve together on campus. 'Take the showcase ROAM, for example. This project brings students and businesses together. It's a small-scale representation of what the campus stands for: innovation, research, and connection.' That connection is essential. 'We're not alone here. By understanding and helping each other, we make the campus better for everyone.'

Monique also values informal campus events. 'At the Campus Trail, Coffee Talks, or Christmas gatherings, you meet people and discover places you wouldn't otherwise. It's fun and inspiring.'"
