Do you want to learn from a local entrepreneur? The Groningen business environment is rich with success stories like this one. Meet the speaker for the next VentureClass on Thursday 28 April: Henkjan Bijmolt, an entrepreneur in heart and soul and founder of Gadero. Henkjan can best be described as someone who is full of ideas and thrives on executing these without too much preparation.

Gadero

He is most known for the company Gadero, which he founded in 2013. Gadero is an online store for wood purchasing.

When starting out, most people thought he was mad for thinking that people would buy wood online. However he had the last laugh… 10 years later, Gadero had grown into a large company with 200 employees, clients in 6 countries, and sales that would exceed 40 million. Despite the success, Henkjan decided to leave Gadero in March 2022. He found out that his passion lies more in the start-up phase, where he can work on new and fresh ideas.

Also, Gadero was not the only thing Henkjan was working on. Before this, he founded the affiliate network Cleafs and the online travel agency Travelmap. He also founded Cookinglife.nl, haxo.nl, and bedrijfspand.com. The common factor in these varying businesses is that he mainly thinks of online solutions. Obviously, he is not sitting still now either and we can definitely expect some more surprising ventures.

All in all, Henkjan has around 20 years of business experience in different sectors. He will give his unique ten tips for entrepreneurs on Thursday evening based on his experiences and knowledge. You certainly do not want to miss this!
