On Wednesday 31 May, the Hanze University of Applied Sciences organises the Hanze Impact Event. Groningen’s university of applied sciences was founded 225 years ago with the help of 350 city residents. People with practical skills were urgently required for the development of the city and the surrounding area. Based on a common goal to make the region stronger, they sought each other out, explored possibilities and worked together to make sure that the university of applied sciences came into being. Now, on the occasion of their 225th anniversary, their core mission remains unchanged: they want to be of importance to the region.
