You are warmly invited to the final event of Hanze’s “Sustainably Sustainable” project on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Over the past two years, the project team has explored how municipalities can encourage residents to adopt more sustainable behavior, and how municipalities can make more effective, evidence-based choices when selecting appropriate measures.

What to expect
This research was carried out by Hanze University of Applied Sciences and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the municipalities of Almere, Groningen, Aalten, and Assen. During the final event, the key findings will be presented, and we will launch the Digital Intervention Guide for Behavior Change—a practical tool that helps municipalities make well-informed decisions when applying communication and behavioral interventions.

As a participant in the final event, you will receive immediate access to this tool.
Additionally, several inspiring speakers will address the themes of sustainability and behavior change.

Who is it for?
This event is intended for (policy) officers from municipalities and other government organizations working in sustainability, behavior change, or communication. It is also relevant for researchers, students, consultants, and professionals involved in developing or applying behavioral interventions. Of course, other interested parties are also very welcome!
