On Thursday, April 24th (3:30 PM - 5:30 PM), the Campus Café will take place in the Anda Kerkhoven Centre at the Healthy Ageing Campus! This event focuses on exercise, vitality, and sports, in the run-up to the Groningen Half Marathon powered by Campus Groningen on May 25th.

Location
The Anda Kerkhoven Centre, the new education center on Antonius Deusinglaan, is the place where health and well-being are central. Moreover, this is a great opportunity to discover the beautiful new building, which has been designed with a lot of attention to space and sustainability.

Speakers
Professor of Sports Psychology at the University of Groningen, Nico van Yperen, an expert in the mental aspects of sports and performance, will share his insights on how mental strength plays a crucial role in sports and performance. The second speaker is top athlete Bram Buigel, Dutch champion in the 800m in 2023. He will talk about his experiences in running, vitality, and performance. In his presentation "Road to Half Marathon," Bram will give you the best tips to optimally prepare for the race. What should you do with nutrition before the race? How do you pace yourself? He will give you the answers to start the Groningen Half Marathon with confidence! These tips are not only useful for the Half Marathon participants but also for the runners of the 10, 5, and 2.5 km. And don't forget to sign up for the free Half Marathon Clinics with Bram and Nik Lemmink, which we have specially organized for the campus community!

The third speaker is Annelies Wolters, Manager Business Development at Lode Holding, based on Campus Groningen. How can innovation and technology help shape a future where vitality takes center stage?
