UPDATE 19 MARCH 2020: THIS EVENT IS DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS POSTPONED

In April 1970, 37 scientist from Groningen came together on the beautiful island of Vlieland for the first Materials Science meeting. It was the beginning of structural interdisciplinary collaboration and the founding moment of the Materials Science Center Groningen.

The University of Groningen wants to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this moment on April 3, 2020 in Groningen (Zernike Campus, Energy Academy Building). In a festive day they want to bring together the past and the present members of the institute, look back to the past, look forward to the future and have fun together.
