Low oil prices, energy security, climate change, air pollution, food and water shortages: many of these challenges relate to the way our energy system is designed. You may wonder, how should these structural challenges be addressed? During the masterclass Mart Lubben will help you explore the energy system of the Netherlands.

  • Enjoy an Interactive masterclass including lunch
  • Get to know the ins and outs of our energy system
  • Reflect on the nexus between energy technology, energy security, legislation, social change and market design
  • Learn to use the Energy Transition Model (ETM)
  • Come up with solutions for current challenges with your fellow students
  • Discuss the possible outcomes of the energy transition

Energy Transition Model

The Energy Transition Model is an independent, comprehensive and fact-based energy model that is used by governments, corporations and NGOs for training purposes, decision making and to facilitate discussions. The model is a free, open source, online tool for future energy scenario analysis. Instead of trying to predict the future, the ETM is meant to help users explore it and get a grip on important future developments.

Do not miss out on this unique opportunity and register today – calling students from all study fields, to participate and contribute!
