Proxima is a recently opened student complex on Zernike Campus. With 401 rooms spread across four buildings, Proxima provides modern and comfortable living spaces for students. Each room is approximately 18 to 20 m² and comes fully furnished with a bed, wardrobe, and desk. The best part? During the start of the academic year, Proxima can accommodate up to 802 students thanks to the innovative 'peak concept.'

How Does the Peak Concept Work?

At the beginning of the academic year, finding a room in Groningen can be challenging, especially for international students. Proxima offers a smart solution: rooms can be temporarily shared by two students. This means you'll share a room and split the costs with another student for the first three months. After that period, you'll have the room to yourself again. Perfect, right?

What Else Does Proxima Offer?

Proxima is more than just rooms. You'll have access to various facilities and amenities that make your stay even more comfortable:

  • Spacious Communal Kitchen: Each house features a large communal kitchen of 120 m², where you can cook, eat, and relax with your housemates.
