Startup City is an inspiring new facility for startups and scale ups of Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, and the University of Groningen. Incubator Cube050 and the Marian van Os Centre for Entrepreneurship are the first to relocate to this remarkable new location for entrepreneurship where students, entrepreneurs and researchers come together. Start-up City was initiated by the Campusmanagement of Zernike Campus.
In the new complex there is an entrepreneur incubator that offers 600 m2 office space to student starters, starting entrepreneurs and project teams. Next to the eleven offices, there are two community rooms and a multifunctional area where people meet and work together.
It is the incubator and business accelerator of Hanze UAS and the University of Groningen. It does not only offer a place to work, but also support, for example, in the form of coaching. Since the start in 2005 over 150 companies were started in the incubator.
